This is the process of examining a property to determine if there has been any water damage and mould growth.

This is done in two steps – Step 1 Initial Inspection and Step 2 Testing
We use specialised equipment such as moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras to detect hidden sources of moisture that could be causing mould growth. MouldSafe conducts indoor air quality assessments, which are sent off to an independent lab. We will then provide a detailed report outlining the types of mould that are found in each room of your building.

Mould Fact: ‘Dry rot’ (mould growth) can appear within 2-48hrs under the right conditions and environment.

Mould Inspection - looking for mould

Initial Inspection & Testing:

The assessor will do an initial inspection and take air and/or surface samples to determine the type and severity of the mould growth and the potential health risks associated with it.

Interpretation of Results:

The assessor will interpret the test results in a report and depending on the results and findings, a further inspection will be the next step.

Further Inspection:

A mould inspector conducts a thorough inspection of a property to identify the areas of mould growth, the extent of the damage, and potential health risks.

Remediation Recommendations:

Based on the assessment and testing results, the inspector will provide recommendations for remediation and ways to fix the problem, including outlining the steps needed to safely and effectively remediate the mould affected areas.

Prevention Strategies:

The inspector will provide advice on preventing future mould growth, such as identifying and addressing sources of moisture and humidity.

Guidance on Health Risks:

Our MouldSafe Consultant may advise on the potential health risks associated with mould exposure and provide guidance on minimising exposure.
